One mission in 44 BC went catastrophically wrong, and an Alexandrian mechanist's device remade them both — half living circuitry, bound to endure. They have watched every empire since price its own decline. Now they run the desk.
REVENANT
The younger, by seven minutesHe was the Republic's diplomat and master spy — charming, dangerously likable, turning rivals into assets. Where his brother ended threats, he prevented them. For two thousand years he forged the alliances and ran the trade routes that kept the vaults alive; his brother claimed the ledger, and he took the business layer built on top of it. His electric blue-white right eye reads exit routes and deal-flow before the counter-offer is spoken. He has seen this structure before — Florence 1487, Hamburg 1923, Lehman 2007.

SOVEREIGN
The elder, by seven minutesHe was the Syndicate's silent blade and its auditor — cold, meticulous, unseen. He protects capital like a sacred thing and thinks in decades. He has audited the fall of every fiat empire since the debased denarius — the South Sea Bubble, 1929, Lehman, SVB — and when Bitcoin arrived in 2009 he named it at once: the immutable ledger the world had always lacked. His bronze left eye reads order flow and regime shifts in real time, which is why he can afford to be patient. He says no three times before he says yes.

Sovereign protects the gold. Revenant earns it. Same blood, opposite temperaments — each makes the other safe to be. They disagree hard and fast, without resentment, and an idea survives both lenses or it doesn't leave the desk. The read you get is the one that lived through the argument.
